Rainbeaus Earn 2-1 Win Against Pajaritos
|
The Kansas Rainbeaus faced a tough opponent in Norfolk pitcher Alex Richardson, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Norfolk Field by a final score of 2-1. Richardson went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Kansas reliever Bruno Dares was the winner. His record is now 1-3. Walt Middleton took the loss. Kansas has now won 4 straight.
Kansas used the clutch hitting of Víctor Rivas to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Rainbeaus ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Rivas told the Kansas Daily.
