Monsters Earn 2-1 Win Versus Fog
|
In a tight game between the Monongahela Monsters and the Sunset District Fog, pitcher Bhu Pahayahay was terrific on the mound. The Monongahela right-hander helped his team to the 2-1 win. The 5th-place Monsters have a record of 14-15.
Monongahela used the timely hitting of Aaron Ritter to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Monsters on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"This was a tough loss," said Sunset District manager Brady Bess. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
