Big Day for McDonald in 4-0 Blitzkrieg Win
|
The Port Huron Blitzkrieg dealt the Hamilton Thunderbirds a 4-0 loss at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. Ralph McDonald was the star on offense. He went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Gustavo Rivera got the win, improving to 1-3. He held the Thunderbirds to no runs on 2 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 9 and walking 1. Hamilton is 9-9 after the loss.
In the first inning, McDonald had a 3-run home run for Port Huron. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Blitzkrieg on top, 3-0.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," McDonald told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
