Rainbeaus Get 14-Inning Win
Port Huron got a valiant performance from pitcher Miguel Ortíz, but it wasn't enough to beat the Kansas Rainbeaus. Kansas won the game, 8-7. Ortíz threw 7.0 innings allowing 1 runs for the losing team. Kansas reliever Ron Canseco picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Cristo Sánchez took the loss. Alfredo Ramos got credit for the save for Kansas. It was his 1st of the year.

Víctor Rivas had the most critical at-bat for Kansas. With one in the top of the 14th inning, Rivas hit a 3-1 cutter from Cristo Sánchez for a run-scoring single. It put Kansas in front, 8-7.

"The game of baseball will test you," said Will Thomas, the Kansas skipper. "This one tested us."

The loss drops Port Huron to 4-8.
