Humpbacks Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Rainbeaus, 3-2
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Alaskan Humpbacks and the Kansas Rainbeaus, pitcher Alejandro Rosado was the difference between victory and defeat. The Alaskan right-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 Humpbacks win. Alaskan goes to 6-3 with the win.
Alaskan used the timely hitting of Tynan Taylor to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Humpbacks on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
Kansas manager Will Thomas said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
