Fighting Dachshunds Down Pride, 2-1
|
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds got a magnificent performance from pitcher Thomas Canó, who muffled the Hartford offense en route to a tight 2-1 Fighting Dachshunds win at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Ellenburg reliever Mario Ledezma picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Nicolas Gomes absorbed the loss. The win moves Ellenburg to a record of 3-5.
The Fighting Dachshunds procured the win, in large part because of right fielder Bake McBride. In the bottom of the 13th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"The object of the game is to score more runs than they do," said McBride. "Mission accomplished."
