Xiao-gang Qing had a good game, but he could not keep the Sioux Falls Red Pandas from falling, 6-3, to the Baton Rouge Brass at Brass Field. The Sioux Falls center fielder belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice in the loss. Melis Ooyendijk closed it out for his 13th save. The 7th-place Brass are 48-54.
Tom Windus hit a 2-run triple off Carlos Rivas in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Brass in front, 5-3. Windus had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.
"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Windus told the Baton Rouge Observer.
