Red Pandas Need Extra Frames to Get Past Brass
Behind a solid performance from first baseman Dong-soo Yi, the Sioux Falls Red Pandas defeated the Baton Rouge Brass, 6-4. Yi was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Red Pandas. Sioux Falls reliever Kirby Perkins was the winner. His record is now 6-1. The losing pitcher was Ron Ward. With the win, Sioux Falls raised its record to 53-47.

Yi had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 2-2 fastball from Ron Ward, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Red Pandas a 6-4 lead. It was the 14th home run of the year for Yi.

"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Yi.
