Goodhardt Delivers Walk-Off Win for Starks
|
The Syracuse Starks stopped the Pennsauken Flyers, 6-5, at Stark Stadium. The Starks got a big game from Bill Strong, who went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The 6th-place Starks go to 45-47.
Patrick Goodhardt was the walk-off hero for Syracuse. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Starks second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place was rocking at the end," Strong said.
