Rocks Pull Even With 3-1 Victory
|
The Plymouth Rocks got a magnificent performance from pitcher Robin Andrews, who muffled the Calgary offense en route to a tight 3-1 Rocks win at Lynx Stadium. The Rocks, at 46-46, sit in 4th place in the Premier AAA.
Plymouth used the timely hitting of Ray Draper to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rocks on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Afterward, Rocks manager Harris Harden was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
