Good production from left fielder Tadasu Ogasahara helped the Baton Rouge Brass topple the Tortolita Drummers, 5-2. Ogasahara was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Brass. Juan González earned the win for Baton Rouge. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 6-6. Melis Ooyendijk nailed down his 7th save.
Baton Rouge used a well-timed hit by Mark MacGrewar to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Brass ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Ogasahara.
The Brass, now 37-45, have won 4 in a row.
