Bakersfield center fielder Bill Zimmerman had 4 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Syracuse Starks, 9-4. The Nobles sit in second place in the Premier AAA with a record of 52-26.

The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth when Zimmerman hit a run-scoring single. It propelled the Nobles into the lead, 5-4.

In postgame comments, Zimmerman told the Bakersfield Times: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
