Buchanan, Bakersfield Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
The Bakersfield Nobles picked up a win at Jerome Grounds, taking down the Pennsauken Flyers, 2-0. Starting pitcher Eric Buchanan was a big reason why. Earning his 1st save of the year was David Sullivan. Bakersfield is now 40-24.
It was a remarkable effort from Buchanan, who is one of the team leaders. Buchanan recorded 4 strikeouts in 7.1 innings while allowing 1 hit. Buchanan, who is tied for 10th in the PAAA with a 1.21 WHIP, moves to 6-3 on the year with 59 strikeouts.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Buchanan said.
