Nobles Take Down Dogfish Head, 8-0
|
Pitcher Lawrence MacLellan was sensational for the Bakersfield Nobles in his team's 8-0 triumph over the Milton Dogfish Head. MacLellan picked up the win, and it was well-earned. The Nobles improved to 39-22.
Brian Neame, the Bakersfield first baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 2-0, Nobles. For the game, Neame went 1-3.
Said losing manager Gonzalo Velásquez: "Give the Nobles credit. They took advantage of our mistakes."
