Pennsauken Beats Syracuse, 7-5

Pennsauken and Syracuse got after it at Pennsauken Park.
The Pennsauken Flyers beat the Syracuse Starks, 7-5. Pennsauken pitcher and Irapuato, Mexico, native Sergio Lugo led the way. Carlos Rosas, now 1-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. King Nelson finished to wrap up his 5th save.
Pennsauken took a 3-2 lead on Fred McElroy's 4th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which McElroy hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Syracuse pitcher Bill Strain shaking his head.
"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Lugo told the Pennsauken Herald.
At 26-33, Pennsauken is in 8th place in the Premier AAA.
