The Calgary Lynx and Tortolita Drummers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The performance of Hanskarl Hümmel proved critical in helping Tortolita beat Calgary, 5-1. The Drummers right fielder was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Earning his 2nd save for Tortolita was Miguel Moreno.
The Drummers benefited from a costly error in the top of the first. With Omar Luoa at bat and Tortolita leading 1-0, the Calgary miscue allowed Tortolita to plate 1 and take the lead, 2-0.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Tortolita skipper Marcos Costa.
Tortolita leads the Premier AAA by 2 games.
