Plymouth beat Pennsauken at Pennsauken Park, escaping with a 3-2 win. The win in large part was due to left fielder Étienne Jobe. He went 3-4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Norbert van Poppel closed the door for Plymouth, picking up his 12th save of the year. The Rocks saw their record improve to 27-18.
Jobe had a consequential at-bat in the top of the fifth for the Rocks. Coming up with the bases loaded and Plymouth trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Plymouth manager Harris Harden said.
