Thrilling Victory Pushes Buzz Win Streak to 5
|
The Salt Lake City Buzz downed the Hialeah Dodos, 5-3. The hitting star was right fielder Juan Martínez. Martínez was 2-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Buzz. Everton Stirzacre got the save, the 26th for him this season. Salt Lake City has run its win streak to 5 in a row.
Martínez had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-2 curveball from Eric Hurt, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Buzz a 4-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Martínez.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Salt Lake City manager Tom Carlson. "It's usually not just one thing."
