Men Saddle Lake Monsters with 4-3 Loss
|
Vermont catcher Robinson Quiñones was sensational. He was 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Florida beat the Lake Monsters, 4-3. Rafael Aguilar got the win, improving to 2-0. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up 7 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 2. Yasuoka Miyazaki got the save, his 8th in 9 chances.
It could have been a different outcome for Florida, had it not been for Matt Banks, the 23-year old center fielder . Banks contributed a 2-run triple in the top of the sixth inning to put Florida up, 4-1.
"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Banks told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
The triumph puts Florida at 57-36 for the season.
