Red Pandas Tag Starks with 7-0 Loss
The Sioux Falls Red Pandas topped the Syracuse Starks, 7-0, in USPL Triple A action at Stark Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Sioux Falls pitcher and Columbus, Ohio, native Hugh Mann. Mann, the winner, moves to 4-2. He threw 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 1 walk. Carlos Rivas collected save number 2.

Sioux Falls relied on the hitting of Jeremy Gaines to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Red Pandas on top, 4-0. For the game, Gaines had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Gabriel Madrigal.

With the victory, the Red Pandas upped their record to 26-16.
