Marlins Lose at Home, 3-0, to Sacramento
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Sacramento Redlegs and Ft. Myers Marlins.
In a tight affair between the Sacramento Redlegs and the Ft. Myers Marlins, pitcher Zosimo Pavlakakis was in the zone. The Sacramento right-hander helped his team win the game, 3-0. Pavlakakis went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-6.
It could have been a different outcome for Sacramento, had it not been for Chris Perry, the 23-year old second baseman . Perry contributed a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put Sacramento up, 2-0.
"Good team win," Perry said. "I love it when a plan comes together."
The Redlegs improved to 41-52.
