The Austin Black Mambas defeated the Port Royal Disaster, 5-3, in M3L Triple A action at Mamba Park. Austin pitcher William Petersen had a standout performance. The Black Mambas raised their record to 45-47.

Austin won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With two outs and Miguel Hernández on the mound for Port Royal, third baseman Leon Burns hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Black Mambas fans to their feet.

"This place sure got loud," said Perry Bothof, the Austin manager.
