Flyers Beat Starks, 7-3
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Pennsauken Flyers and Syracuse Starks.
The Pennsauken Flyers downed the Syracuse Starks, 7-3, at Pennsauken Park. The Flyers were led by Brian Pierce. He was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2. Pennsauken starter Remie den Braber was credited with the win after throwing 86 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 3-3.
The outcome was still in doubt in the top of the fourth inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Syracuse trailing 1-0, Remie den Braber needed to get a big out. On a 0-1 fastball, Matt Dunham grounded out, putting the kibosh on a potential rally.
The Flyers sit in 9th place in the Premier AAA with a record of 15-23.
