Despite a great performance by Athletic Club KC first baseman Sherwin Tacod, the Syracuse Starks defeated the Reserves by the score of 8-4 at KC Reserve Stadium. Tacod was 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Syracuse reliever Joel Baxter picked up the win, raising his record to 2-2. Sidd Finch was tagged with the loss. With the win, Syracuse raised its record to 19-17.

Syracuse relied on the bat of Eldon Church to get the win. The third baseman produced a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Starks ahead, 6-4. For the game, Church had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
