Lake Monsters Suffer 9-7 Setback
|
Hialeah third baseman Jesús Fernández was a significant contributor in his team's 9-7 triumph over the Vermont Lake Monsters. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 4 runs and drove in 3 for Hialeah. The winner was Hialeah reliever Yu-eh Wang, now 2-6. The loser was Ed Walters. The last-place Dodos now have a win-loss record of 33-56.
The game ended in the bottom of the 11th when Fernández hit a tie-breaking 2-run home run. The blast allowed Hialeah to capture a thrilling win.
