Syracuse took on Milton in front of a lively crowd.

Syracuse Starks starter Steve Ward had all his pitches working at Stark Stadium. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-2 Syracuse win over the Milton Dogfish Head. Syracuse, at 18-14, occupies 4th place in the Premier AAA.

Jon Rice had a timely hit in the bottom of the sixth inning. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Syracuse shortstop hit a 2-run single. That put the Starks in front, 8-2.

"If we keep hitting the ball well, the wins will pile up," said Syracuse skipper Gabriel Madrigal.
