Bruce Wilson pitched well, but his team, the Milton Dogfish Head, still dropped a 3-1 decision to the Syracuse Starks at Stark Stadium. Mario Méndez locked down his 11th save. The win puts Syracuse at 17-14 this season.
The Starks got a big hit from center fielder Charlie Moore. In the bottom of the fifth, Moore pounded a 2-run double to right. His 2nd double of the season put the Starks ahead, 3-0.
"A great game, a great day," said Moore about the win. "I can't complain."
