The Calgary Lynx defeated the Pennsauken Flyers, 5-2, in USPL Triple A action at Lynx Stadium. Calgary pitcher David Rubin had a standout performance. The winning pitcher was Rubin, now 3-2. He tossed 5 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. Eric Blevins picked up the save, his 3rd.
José Uranday hit a run-scoring double off Remie den Braber in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Lynx in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Uranday had 1 single, while going 2 for 3.
"Good win," said Rubin. "Maybe some of the whiners in the clubhouse will pipe down for a little while now."
Calgary, at 16-11, holds down third place in the Premier AAA.
