Flyers Sink Nobles, 7-6
Despite a fine performance by first baseman Brian Neame, the Bakersfield Nobles lost to the Pennsauken Flyers, 7-6. Neame went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Carlos Sainz was credited with the save for Pennsauken, his 1st of the season. The last-place Flyers have a record of 8-15.

Had Martin Jones not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Jones hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Flyers.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Culley Adjeng.
