Golden Cranes Handle Redlegs, 8-3
|
Santa Barbara picked up a win at Crane Field, toppling the Sacramento Redlegs, 8-3. Pitcher Cisco Morales was one of the reasons the Golden Cranes triumphed. Morales got the win, improving to 7-5. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Morales allowed 2 runs. Santa Barbara bumps their record to 40-37 with the win.
In the bottom of the fifth, Santa Barbara first baseman Ben Carmody had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Carmody stroked a 2-run single to right. It made the score 4-1, Santa Barbara. For the game, he went 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 4 RBI.
"Cisco was able to execute his pitches," said Santa Barbara manager William Smith. "Simple as that."
