In a low-scoring affair between the Tortolita Drummers and the Plymouth Rocks, pitcher Tony Correa was the difference between victory and defeat. The Tortolita right-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 Drummers win. Tortolita reliever Apaghana Shachi was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Norbert van Poppel. Tortolita, at 13-9, holds down second place in the Premier AAA.

Ricardo Ojíto was the walk-off hero for Tortolita. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Drummers left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place sure got loud," said Marcos Costa, the Tortolita manager.
