Pavlakakis Impressive in Sacramento Win
|
Sacramento Sanitation Station was the site of a tense game between the Austin Black Mambas and Sacramento Redlegs.
In a low-scoring game between Sacramento and Austin, pitcher Zosimo Pavlakakis was excellent. The Sacramento right-hander helped his team knock off the Black Mambas, 3-1. Shem Burkholder earned the save for Sacramento, his 8th of the year.
Pavlakakis was effective for Sacramento, seldom allowing the Black Mambas to square up a pitch. The right-hander tossed 100 pitches over 7.1 innings. He limited Austin to just 1 run on 1 hit.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Pavlakakis said.
The 11th-place Redlegs are 30-44.
