The Austin Black Mambas beat the Vermont Lake Monsters, 7-4. Austin pitcher and Luchou, Taiwan, native Lee tai hoi Chen led the way. Chen picked up the win for Austin, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 5-5. Eric Ramírez, credited with the save, is now 14 for 14 in save opportunities.

The Black Mambas got an important contribution from right fielder Mike O'Kennelly, who in the bottom of the sixth punched a 2-2 fastball into left for a solo home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Black Mambas ahead, 3-2.
