The Austin Black Mambas beat the Sacramento Redlegs, 5-4, at Mamba Park. The Black Mambas got a fine performance from shortstop Jon Anderson, who was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. With the win, the Black Mambas hiked their record to 28-27.

Anderson contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Austin in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-0, Anderson took a slider from Ken Milligan and stroked the home run to left. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Black Mambas to leap in front, 3-2.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Anderson told the Austin Daily.
