Disaster Pick Up 4-2 Win
|
With center fielder Derrick MacComie leading the charge, the Port Royal Disaster defeated the Salt Lake City Buzz, 4-2, at Spirits Stadium. MacComie went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Robert Brewer earned the save, his 15th. Port Royal now owns a record of 27-26.
The game turned with one out in the top of the fourth when MacComie, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2048 draft, hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Disaster into the lead, 3-1.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," MacComie told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
