Hialeah center fielder Jim Willis contributed to his team's 6-3 win over the Sacramento Redlegs. Willis, who is tied for 9th in the 3AAA in home runs with 7, went 3 for 5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Dodos. The 11th-place Dodos have won 4 straight games.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Jon Melanson? The Hialeah first baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Dodos on top, 4-2. For the game, Melanson had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
