Lake Monsters Win 4th Straight, Take Down Black Mambas, 3-1
Andrew Shoemaker was in top form in a low-scoring contest between Vermont and Austin. The Lake Monsters right-hander helped his team beat the Black Mambas, 3-1. Daniel Ricciardo recorded the save for Vermont, his 2nd of the season. Vermont is now riding a 4-game win streak.

Tied up with the Black Mambas in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Lake Monsters got a boost from catcher Henry Williams. With a runner on 2nd, Williams saw a 1-1 splitter from Zhong-shu Ang and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Vermont on top, 1-0.

"Slowly but surely, the wins are piling up," said Williams.
