Brass Cut Down Flyers, 8-0
|
The Baton Rouge Brass and starting pitcher Al Hussey stifled the Pennsauken offense en route to a comfortable 8-0 win at Pennsauken Park. The Flyers fall to 4-8 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2055 season.
The result might have been different, had it not been for Kevin Swanson, the Baton Rouge center fielder. Swanson had a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Brass ahead, 3-0. For the game, Swanson had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Hussey said.
