Carlson Now 1-4 After Subduing Lake Monsters
|
The Nashville Hot Chickens picked up a win at Hot Chickens Park, taking down the Vermont Lake Monsters, 1-0. Starting pitcher Robert Carlson was a big reason why. Getting the save was David Davidson, his 8th. The win for the Hot Chickens lifted their record to 19-15.
Carlson's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 5 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 4 hits. Carlson, who leads the 3AAA with a 1 complete games, goes to 1-4 on the year with 28 strikeouts.
Afterward, Hot Chickens manager Ward Wilberfoss was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
