Drummers Stick Flyers with 4-1 Loss
The Tortolita Drummers topped the Pennsauken Flyers, 4-1, in USPL Triple A action at Pennsauken Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Tortolita pitcher Heath Brown. Brown got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 4 hits and walked 3 over 6 innings. Brown allowed 1 run. Cliff Scarlett, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.

Tortolita used the timely hitting of Greg Kirkwood to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Drummers on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"They played a better game than we did," said Pennsauken skipper Culley Adjeng.

Pennsauken drops to 3-6.
