Syracuse Grabs 7-4 Road Win
|
The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys topped the Port Royal Disaster, 7-4, in M3L Triple A action at Ballpark of Port Royal. The game was highlighted by the performance of Syracuse pitcher Bernard Miller. Miller went the distance for Syracuse. He gave up 4 runs on 5 hits. Syracuse has a mark of 7-11 after the win.
It could have been a different outcome for Syracuse, had it not been for Artie Smith, the 30-year old center fielder . Smith contributed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put Syracuse up, 5-0.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Miller.
