On a Roll: Bowman Hits for Cycle
Getting 4 hits is a good day by any measure, but when those include a single, double, triple and a home run -- that's something special. Eric Bowman's day was a special one.

The center fielder hit for the cycle to spark the Port Royal Disaster to a 6-1 victory over the Sacramento Redlegs at Ballpark of Port Royal today. Port Royal manager Mike Nyberg said he thought the whole lineup looked good in batting practice, but had not been expecting anything extraordinary from Bowman in particular.

"Eric caught me by surprise today," the skipper said. "He looked good before the game, but man, he looked unbelievable during it."

For the day, Bowman finished with 3 runs batted in and 3 runs scored to go with his 4 hits.

Eric Bowman tripled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Sloan Boyd in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.

Presently Bowman is batting .298 with 14 hits and 3 home runs. He has knocked in 10 runs and scored 6 times.
