Tritons Come Back Late to Clip Dodos
|
The Hialeah Dodos wasted an impressive 6-inning effort from starter Denzel Halford, falling 1-0 to the Jersey City Tritons at Dodos Ballpark. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Nathan May. The Dodos fall to 5-7 and continue to sputter in the early going.
Jersey City used the timely hitting of Michaelsoft Binbows to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Tritons on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Binbows.
