Black Mambas Roll to 10-3 Win Over Disaster
|
The Austin Black Mambas topped the Port Royal Disaster, 10-3, in M3L Triple A action at Mamba Park. The standout performance belonged to Austin pitcher and Idstein, Germany, native Julius Angrenny. The Disaster, now 3-9, continue their slow start.
The Black Mambas got a big at-bat from second baseman Tim Thomas. For the game, Thomas went 1 for 4 with a double and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 1st double of the season gave Austin a 4-1 lead.
"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Angrenny told the Austin Daily. "You win just by scoring more runs."
