Flyers Defeat Rocks, 3-2
|
The Pennsauken Flyers topped the Plymouth Rocks, 3-2, in USPL Triple A action at Plymouth Quarry. The standout performance belonged to Pennsauken pitcher and New York, native Alan Jackson. Sergio Lugo earned the save for Pennsauken, his 1st of the year. The loss lowers the Plymouth record to 2-1.
It could have been a different outcome for Pennsauken, had it not been for Nazeem Ala', the 24-year old right fielder . Ala' contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Pennsauken up, 1-0.
"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Ala'. "But I have better dreams after a win."
