Lakers Win, 3-2, Extend Streak to 9 Games
|
Echo Park first baseman Yamato Sato made his presence felt in the 3-2 Lakers triumph over the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids. Sato hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Bobby Taylor closed the door for Echo Park, picking up his 10th save of the year. The first-place Lakers have won 9 in a row.
Sato had a timely hit for Echo Park in the bottom of the sixth. With Northern Virginia trailing 2-1, he turned a 1-2 changeup into a 2-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season, making it 3-2, Echo Park.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Sato.
