The Santa Catalina Condor knocked off the Buckhead Bowties, 5-4, at 5 Paces Park. Stephen Clifton was a big reason Santa Catalina won. The second baseman went 2 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Will Sovaiala picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Kenny McFadden was tagged with the loss. Pat Martin picked up the save for Santa Catalina, his 6th of the year.

Santa Catalina took a 5-4 lead on Michizane Yamashita's 4th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Buckhead pitcher Kenny McFadden in the top of the eighth.

"We'll savor this win," Clifton told the Santa Catalina Times, "then get ready for the next game."

The Condor, now 14-6, have played some good baseball in the early going.
