Bowties Drop Contest, 4-3, to Charleston
|
Charleston Battery starter Ronald McDonald was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Buckhead Bowties, 4-3. The save went to James Tucker, his 3rd this season. Buckhead is 4-4 after the loss.
Charleston used the bat of Edgar González to capture the win. The left fielder jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Battery ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"The vibe's good," said Charleston manager Don Lookingbill. "We've got to keep it going."
