Thunder Bay picked up a win at Great Northern Field, toppling the Hollywood Shredders, 9-3. Pitcher Steve Hale was one of the reasons the Northern Lions BC triumphed. The win gives Thunder Bay a record of 4-3.

Hale, a native of Pecan Grove, Texas, was dealing all game. He kept Hollywood hitters off-balance, while giving the Northern Lions BC 8.1 quality innings. Hale threw 114 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 9.
