3MSL Announces Top Player Award Friday, September 18th , 2054 The future looks extremely bright for Steve Owens. At the age of 18, many players are still trying to find their way in M3L Mexican Summer League. Owens has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the M3L Mexican Summer League Most Valuable Player Award. "I didn't expect to hit .403 this year, that's for sure," the shortstop said. The MSL Detroit Elite star also put up a .460 on-base percentage this year, with 77 hits, 6 doubles, 2 triples, 5 home runs, 25 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 12. Wes Bryant of the MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Esko Harmaja of the MSL Las Vegas Flamingos finished third.
